Kim DeGidio is a painter and illustrator based in Houston, TX. She graduated from Texas State University in 2006 with a degree in Art Education. Continuing education includes drawing, art history, and photography classes abroad in Florence, Italy, and intermediate and advanced painting and photography classes at The Glassell School (Museum of Fine Arts- Houston).

Kim has created numerous album and flyer artwork.  She focuses mostly on pen, ink, and watercolor media.  Her influences vary from personal photographs to fashion to portraiture and figure studies.  She is interested in creating illustrations that are beautiful, many times tongue-in-cheek, and full of symbolism.

Kim mainly paints figurative work in acrylic on wood panels.  She focuses on past life experiences and many of her paintings are meant to capture awkward and odd situations.  She is fascinated by the connection between beauty, perspective, and the self.
